Now in partnership with NB Medical, The Medical Chambers (formerly Yorkshire Medical Chambers) has been rebranded to better reflect the areas in which we work and our desire to support freelance General Practitioners and primary care services
The Medical Chambers exists to support freelance medical professionals to deliver the highest quality care to primary care services and ultimately their patients. Practices know a Chambers' doctor will be reliable, punctual and of high quality. Word of mouth is the best way to build a sustainable and successful business and we rely on this to attract new practices and members.
For our Members: The Medical Chambers supports you not only with the administration that comes from working as an independent locum but also has the added benefit of providing peer support and continued professional development. A cornerstone of our success is the pastoral care and professional community we provide our Members by operating as a Virtual Practice. We take away the isolation that a locum can often face and make working freelance as stress free as possible, enabling you to be at your best as a clinician.
And for our clients: By engaging with one of our Members, our clients know they are getting a high quality clinician that will fit straight into their team. The Medical Chambers was originally established by four locum General Practitioners: Andrew Noble, Hester Dunlop, Julie Stanton and Zoe Norris. We wanted to provide support to the locum workforce locally whilst retaining high quality clinicians. Since 2010 we have steadily built a growing reputation within primary care across Yorkshire by focusing on providing our members with all the support needed to make working as a locum as stress-free as possible. In 2021, we became Limited and have partnered with NB Medical (the largest Medical Education provider in the UK) to further strengthen our CPD and support provision, maintaining and improving the exceptional quality of our membership and ultimately the service our clients receive.
The Medical Chambers currently has three groups in Leeds, Hull and York but we can and do cover a wider area across Yorkshire and its borders. You will be joining an organisation with a collective reputation which has been built over many years of working with local practices. Our success has been built on repeat business and organic growth, as practices value quality locums and the administrative support behind them.
